The lecture explored the history of the plantations of St. Bernard Parish. Chapman delivered a brief historical overview on the workings of a plantation. Hyland traced the history and development of the most notable plantations in St. Bernard. Lewis provided a display of artifacts from everyday plantation life and highlighted some of the speciﬁc activities from Sebastopol Plantation. Manning provided the Opening Act entertainment by juggling and eating an apple simultaneously.
